I am little bit behind in my postings as we just spent a week in Taiwan and had limited internet access. Unlike most of our travels which have been to urban areas, we spent most of our time in Taiwan enjoying nature. After spending our first night in Chiayi City, we made our way to Alishan, which is a well known mountain resort area that has several hiking trails and beautiful scenic lookouts. Taiwan offers my kind of easy hiking too since most of the hiking paths are made up of wooden walkways and steps. Although it was quite a shock going from the humid 90 degree weather of Saigon to the cool 40 degree weather in the mountains, we really enjoyed breathing in the clean air and taking in the breathtaking sunset from above the clouds.
