Malacca, Malaysia

Our last stop in Malaysia was Malacca, which is a historical city listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.  Malacca was the site that European colonists first made contact with Malaysia.  It was first colonized by the Portuguese and then later ruled by the Dutch and the British.  The city contains many heritage sites and colonial structures and is a popular destination for tourists.  The most interesting thing to me about Malacca however were the Trishaws, which are colorfully decorated bicycle carriages that carry guests all around the city with pop music blaring.
