After leaving Singapore, we went to Bali, Indonesia with Cousin Zack to get in some beach time. We stayed at Kuta, which is the most developed area in Bali and is also a well-known destination for surfers (especially Australians). Although Kuta Beach looks nice at first glance, we discovered trash washed up on the sand everywhere as we walked along the shoreline. A local explained to us that they pick up the trash from the beach every morning but it just washes ashore everyday this time of the year. I did not include any of the trash in the photos below however.
There are several other beaches Bali however, and during one of our daily excursions our driver took us to Balangan Beach right before sunset. We liked Balangan much better as it was much more picturesque and also less crowded.
