The Great Ocean Road

The Great Ocean Road is a 151-mile road that goes along the southeastern coast of Australia that offers some spectacular views of the coast.  If you are in Melbourne and are into landscape photography, the Great Ocean Road is a must visit.  We left Melbourne in the morning and slowly made our way along the Great Ocean Road taking a few stops along the way to hang out at the beach, take in some scenic spots, and track some koalas in the wild before making it the famous Twelve Apostles just before sunset.

Rosebud, Mornington Peninsula

After a three-month hiatus, I am back in the saddle and am resuming my blog posts.  We have been back in the U.S. since Feb and I have been busy settling back into the DC area, looking for a new job, starting a new job, looking for a new house, putting a contract on a new house, etc.  In addition, I have done some other photo assignments such as shooting a friend’s wedding, a few family and newborn portraits, and some house photos for Yen’s real estate business:  yenhankteam.com.

Now that things are settling down, I can carve out some time to finish photo blogging about our travels in Asia…

The last time I left off, we were in Melbourne, Australia.  Melbourne has a lot to offer and see, and the areas outside of the city are also our very beautiful and scenic.  The Mornington Peninsula is located southeast of Melbourne and is a popular holiday destination for residents looking to escape the city.  We spent an entire day exploring Mornington Peninsula visiting an animal sanctuary (I will have a post on Australian animals later), a vineyard, and a strawberry farm.  By late afternoon, we made it to the town of Rosebud and discovered a beautiful beach with cool, calm, and shallow waters that seem to extend forever and offered much relief to the hot Australian sun.
