Cameron Highlands, Malaysia

After spending Christmas in Kuala Lumpur with Aunt Van, Cousin Jonathan, and Cousin Zack, we all took the bus to the Cameron Highlands to take in some nature.   The scenery was quite beautiful in the highlands with rolling green hills lined with tea plantations everywhere.

Tea plants are grown on the hills as far as the eye can see.

A lookout tower at the top of the peak.  Unfortunately, the fog rolled in so there was as not much of a view.

The Cameron Highlands are also known for strawberries, so we visited a strawberry farm.

Happy Lunar New Year!

Chuc Mung Nam Moi!  Happy Year of the Horse!  May you have a happy and prosperous year.  It is Tet in Vietnam and a lot of people in Saigon have gone back to their home towns to be with their families.  Walking around the city on New Year's eve is a bit strange because most of the shops and restaurants are closed, which is quite a change from the hustle and bustle we are used to.  The central part of District 1, however, was quite festive with Tet celebrations.  Following are some photos from New Year's Eve in Saigon.
