In mid-December, Cousin Jonathan came with us to Cambodia during his winter break. Our first destination was Siem Reap. When we arrived in Siem Reap, we were surprised to see that it was full of nice hotels, resorts, and western restaurants/bars. The city is basically set up to cater to tourists going to see Angkor Wat, which was our main reason for going their also. We ended up doing an all-day bike tour to Angkor Wat, which was a great way to see all the temples and ruins. All the photos below were taken during the bike tour.
Hong Kong Street Photography With an iPhone
We are back in Hong Kong or a few days. Since this is our second time in Hong Kong, I decided to try something new from a photographic perspective. I spent the entire day just using my iPhone for street photography. Why? I wanted to see if the iPhone could be used a serious tool for photography and also put my skills to the test without relying on expensive equipment. The results were better than I expected. The iPhone produces pretty sharp pictures and focuses relatively quickly. The other benefit is that no one notices you as you are taking pictures, which is a benefit in street photography.
All the photos below were taken using an iPhone 5 and processed in Lightroom.
